Mascara Combos! Revlon Lash Potion and Maybelline Falsies Volum' Express

Hey guys!

Just wanted to share with you one of my favourite mascara combinations so far. It is using the Maybelline Falsies Waterproof mascara followed by the Revlon Lash Potion mascara. This gives me great length and volume and it is super black. My lashes look amazingly thick and long and the curl holds all day. Now, mind you this is definitely not for those wanting a natural and defined lash look for a "no makeup makeup" kinda day!

First, I use the Maybelline Falsies Volum' Express Waterproof mascara in Very Black to coat my lashes. A thin coat is good enough for me, but it is ultimately up to you how thick you wanna go here depending on the look you are going for. This adds serious volume and slight length for me and it holds my curl all day due to its waterproof formula. The curved bristled wand helps in giving me more of a curl too. However, this mascara tends to be a little clumpy on me and my lashes will tend to stick together, which I do not fancy. This may be due to the excessive amount of mascara present on the brush each time you pull out the wand - so take a clean tissue and wipe off the excess mascara and this really helps! Despite this, my lashes still are not as seperated and defined as I would like it to be.Thus, using the Revlon mascara next will alleviate the situation!

Next, I add a coat of the Revlon Lash Potion Mascara in Blackest Black (and BAM! Va-va-voom lashes without falsies!). The wand of this Revlon mascara works amazing in separating my lashes and making them look longer and fuller at the same time. According to Revlon, this mascara includes a triple-groove wand which combs through the lashes for clump-free length. It stays true to its word. Thumbs up!
Wand of the Revlon Lash Potion Mascara. Sorry I tried to capture the triple groove but my camera failed me.

A note about the Revlon mascara : Sadly, I could not use this mascara alone as it does not hold my curl at all and it smudges slightly on me. But then again, mine is not the waterproof version!

Lastly, if you want, you can add another coat of the Maybelline Falsies mascara to really seal it all in place! This is to prevent smudging as the Revlon mascara that I use is not waterproof. It also really helps the curl to last! I do this sometimes, on good days where I am feeling extra meticulous and all. ;)

Hope this tip will be useful! Do let me know in the comments if you tried it and it worked for me (or if it did not!). Have a great makeup day!
