The Most Mindblowing and Amazing Foundation Tip Ever

By Sarah - Thursday, May 01, 2014

This is the most mind blowing and amazing foundation tip ever. No kidding. This tip blew my mind. At first, I was skeptical but after I tried it, I was like. Yup.

This tip is by this amazing makeup artist and youtube guru (which I learned alot from), Wayne Goss. You can and should find him on youtube by searching gossmakeupartist.

We all know that it is pretty much a makeup law where we do not apply any liquids or creams after powder. This is supposedly going to result in splotchiness, patchiness or creasing. Well my friends. That ain't true. Anymore.

This video is named : This Foundation Tip Can Change Your Life and boy, did it. And it is so simple.

1. Moisturise (and Prime)
Apply a thin layer of your moisturiser. For me, I apply my moisturiser and then wait 5 mins before applying my primer. I mostly use my Make Up For Ever HD Primer in #0 or my Benefit Porefessional.

2. Powder
Add a thin layer of powder over this layer of moisturiser or primer.

3. Apply your foundation
Just choose your favourite foundation (whether it is cream or liquid) and apply it normally like how you do usually. You would probably realise that you would require less foundation for the same amount of coverage. Mind blowing I know. Why so? I really don't know. It's magic.

4. Apply concealer (if required)
I have to cover up my nasty dark circles! Same method - MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NW20 and my trustworthy Sigma F86 Brush.

5. Powder (if required)
Guys, I have oily skin and by using this method, I find that I do not have to reapply powder to the rest of my face! I just use a tiny amount to set my undereyes as I am wrinkly there and wanna prevent creasing. Otherwise, all is good.

Really, it is that simple. I love how my foundation looks by using this method. My foundation also lasts significantly longer without it becoming patchy or running down my face due to this heat.

Yes, I feel like this with my foundation looking all fabulous.

Try this! I am so glad that I learnt this and hopefully you will too.

Disclaimer: This tip is mentioned by Wayne Goss. And no, this is no way affiliated, sponsored or anything. I am not his friend (even though I would LOVE to be).

Have a great makeup day peeps! Remember this tip and you will ;).
