Top 3 Real Techniques Brushes

Wednesday, June 11, 2014

Real Techniques have been all the hype lately and personal verdict : they are hype worthy. Makeup tools are essential and crucial in the finish of any makeup look. These brushes are affordable and of really good quality, a great addition to any beginner or makeup lover's collection.

I chose three brushes from my collection to share with you today! These brushes are really multi purpose and does the job well.

Detailer brush
This little brush gets neglected by so many people and I really feel this brush deserves more love. This brush is tapered and really small, so it gives excellent precision and control. I love this brush for outlining my brows with concealer after filling them in. This also works great for cleaning up your liner to achieve that precise and sharp winged liner! Lastly, this brush doubles up as a lip brush. Bold lips or neutral, this brush gives you such a crisp edge due to its tapered tip.

Expert Face brush
This brush is really dense and soft so buffing in foundation is a breeze. No streaks and spolches ever. Coverage is pretty darn good as well if you stipple the foundation onto your skin before buffing it out. This brush is also shaped in such a way that it works fantastically with cream contour and blushers as well! Blends it all right in for a flawless base. As this brush is dense, I probably would not recommend it for powder bronzer or blush as application might be on the heavy side.

Contour brush
This brush is slightly tapered so it works lovely for contouring the face or just all over bronzing. Really soft so it feels great on the face. Bristles are of good density and length, so there will be good control and appropriate amount of product placement on the face. I like to use this brush for applying blusher as well as it applies it nicely on my cheekbones! Lastly, this does a great job at blending your undereye concealers or setting them with powder.

Overall, Real Techniques brushes are all really affordable and of remarkable quality. This range is excellent for beginners and pros alike. Go check it out at iherb.com!

Have a great makeup day ahead! XO.
