Review! Coastal Scents GO Palette in Moscow

By Sarah - Wednesday, February 19, 2014

Hey guys! I'm back again with another review for ya. This time, I decided to have a go at Coastal Scents GO Palette in Moscow. It is a super cute and compact palette with 12 eyeshadow colours (each ard the size of a 5 cent coin here in Singapore or a dime). The palette itself is around the size of your palm! It also includes a pretty decent size mirror which makes this palette a go-to when it comes to travelling!

This palette is part of Coastal Scents' GO palettes which are all associated with the colours of the particular countries. I personally have not been to Russia (but would really really love to) so I cannot comment on how relevant are the colour choices here in this palette. BUTTTT I am lovin' the colours! It is a very vibrant palette with blues, greens, oranges and one purple shade (which I ADORE). Definitely not a neutral palette here, but I think this is a great addition to have in your makeup collection if you wanna spice things up a bit sometimes with a pop of colour or two!

Ok now moving onto the review!

Love the compact and simple packaging!

Look how vibrant the colours are! LOVE.
I have to say, I am impressed with this palette. The pigmentation of the shadows are great considering the price I paid for this. Smooth and not chalky at all (and this applies to ALL the shades in the palette ladies!). When i first tried it, I was swooned away by how smooth these shadows are. They are not exactly creamy, but they are definitely super powdery either. Fall out upon application was minimal for me, which is excellent as these colours are bright! Blending was a dream too -  so for people out there who wanna add colour but are afraid of it, TRY THIS. It is easy and just, GORGEOUS.

Would really recommend a primer when using these, so as to bring out the ultimate intensity of the shadows. It also prevents creasing - these shadows creased on me in about 5 hours without primer on. With a primer, BAM, lasted without creasing for about 10 hours of wear!

Let's take a closer look at the shadows, shall we?
Starting from the top right of the palette:

Clockwise from top right: Light mossy dirty gold, light greyish blue, dark grey with slight glitters, emerald green
Continued bottom right and left: light blue with hints of gold and deep bluish green

Clockwise from the top right: Deep warm toned red, dirty bronze gold, light coppery orange, dirty cool toned bronze

Continued bottom left and right: Deep bronze with hints of gold glitter and deep cool toned amethyst purple

Overall, this palette is a YES from me. It retails for USD $8.95 on the Coastal Scents website and for the price paid on this baby, you are getting your money's worth! Do go check it out when you have the chance!

One more look at this baby. *Swoons*

lright, that's all for me now! Have a great makeup day loves! Thanks for reading ;)

Photos are all mine. Not a sponsored review as I bought this palette with my own money!
