April Favourites!

By Sarah - Saturday, May 03, 2014

What have I been loving this month? Oh man. So many. But I thought hard about it and picked only a few items (don't want to bombard you with too many!).

Make Up For Ever HD Primer in #0
This primer is for adding luminosity to the skin ad I dare say, it holds true to its claim. I use it almost everyday to give my skin a lil something ;). Does it prolong the wear of my foundation? Slightly but it is not a dramatic difference. It makes my skin feel super smooth after applying this (but this is not silicon-based like the Benefit Porefessional) and it makes foundation application way easier. It just glides on!

Too Faced Natural At Night Palette
I just did a review and swatch on this (and you can check it out here). I love the versatility for neutral looks this palette gives me. I admit, these few days... I've been slightly lazy and not experimenting much. This palette was a go-to (almost everyday). The shadows are super pigmented, creamy and blends so easily. Great for those who want slightly more than a super neutral look!

Wet N Wild Comfort Zone Palette
This palette is amazing for the price. Really. The quality is top-notch. The eyeshadows are so creamy (think Lorac Pro) and pigmented. I usually reach for this if I am not reaching for the Too Faced Palette mentioned above. This palette had this ONE shade which I absolutely adore. It is the crease shade on the right. I love dual-toned colours (from my eyeshadows to my nail polishes). They are my weak spot. The only unfortunate thing is that this brand is hard to find in Singapore (I searched high and low online. Trust me. So I got my friend from US to purchase this for me).

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Dark Brown
YOUR BROWS WILL NEVER BE THE SAME. I am a Nazi on brows (or so my friends claim) and brow products are a must for me. MUST. I was using the Laura Mercier Brow Definer in Warm before I managed to get my hands on this and I am telling you. I will never go back. This product is really creamy and blends easily. A little goes a long way here. See that small dip in my product? And I have been using this everyday for about 25 days! I use my Sigma angled brush to outline my brows and then fill them in. Super simple and man, this product does not budge. (I remember the times where it is so hot in Singapore that when I wiped off my sweat, there goes one eyebrow. No kidding.). This was hard to find (again) in Singapore so I bought it online. Shipping was a bitch but this item is really worth it. Thumbs up.

Sigma F86 Tapered Kabuki
I've been using this brush for my concealer for ages and it is ultimately the best combination. This brush is tapered and fits perfectly under the eyes. The bristles are soft but sturdy so blending your undereye concealer is a breeze, with no tugging on the delicate area under the eyes. This kabuki is made up of synthetic bristles so washing is no problem as well. I highly recommend this! You can easily get it off luxola ;).

Wet N Wild Mega Last Lipstick in Wine Room
This lipstick is great for those days where I have no idea what lip look I am going for and am in a rush. This colour is like a "my lips but better" but slightly more. It adds life to my face yet keeping it neutral. Moisturising enough for me and it lasts really long - about 4 hours despite me drinking water like crazy as this heat is literally evaporating my body's water. But why am I of the same weight? That is another question...which will never be answered. Moving on.

Once again, April zoomed past so quickly and it is May. Let's see what May brings! I'm excited. Going to start my internship soon (aka more cold hard cash. Sephora, look out!).

Have a great makeup day ahead loves!XO.
