Review & Swatches | Wet N Wild Glam & Care Lipsticks

By Sarah - Monday, May 26, 2014

Who doesn't love a dual purpose makeup item? I am a lipstick junkie and thus, my lips do need a pretty good amount of lovin' to get them back to its soft, luscious and plump goodness (think Angelina Jolie) ;).

Now, Revlon Lip Butters and the Maybelline Baby Lips have been getting tons of raves lately (and I do love both of these products!) but I feel that more people should find out about this item which I will be talking about with you guys today. It is the Wet N Wild Care and Glam lipstick. Oh my gosh. I love this. I use this almost everyday. Can't get enough of it.

Product Description: The lipstick with a care center! This funky lipstick is enriched with conditioning Vitamins A and E, and Aloe Vera for moist-looking lips. Beautifully moisturizing and nourishing lipstick. Cares for your lips whilst giving a glam color. Color and protection in a single movement thanks to the complete formula of the lipstick wet n wild! Active ingredients provide a deep hydration and improve the appearance of the lips.
As you can tell from the name, it is supposed to take care and moisturise your lips while giving them some colour. It lives up to its claims. It is really moisturising due to the balm center (this kinda reminds me of the Benefit Fake Up Concealer. Same theory just y'know, one is a lipstick while the other is a concealer). It is exactly my definition of a lipbalm and lipstick all-in-one!

It comes in a typical sliver plastic packaging which is pretty sturdy. The top is clear so you can roughly see the colour of the lipstick you are reaching for.

The lasting power of this is not really long (about 3 hours on me). It is probably due to its texture being really similar to a lipbalm. Colour pigmentation is great, but depending on which shade you pick up. I have three and the one without shimmer in them do have higher colour payoff. I love the feeling on my lips after application. Best part? It is super affordable. Less than USD $2. Dang, this stuff is cheap and good. Overall, I highly recommend this! My only qualm is that this range does not have many shades (about 6). Still, really wonderful product.
Left to Right: Mauve Frost, Rose Diamond, Hot Kiss
(they are pretty sheer so the swatches kinda look similar)

My favourite shade? Hot kiss. A gorgeous warm pinkish red which adds colour and depth to your lips but not going all out onto the va-va-voom train either.

Rating: 4.5/5

Do check this out if you can find it! I bought mine online (and you can check it out here!).

Have a great makeup day all! XO.
