My Must Have Everyday Makeup Brushes

By Sarah - Tuesday, July 15, 2014

Hello. Just thought I would share with you guys some of the brushes that I must use everyday! I have tons of brushes. No kidding. I mean, how can you resist not getting some hairs on a stick, am I right? ;) However, even though I have so many, I found myself constantly reaching for the same ones until it has become a daily routine for me.

My friends do not believe that I use tons of brushes on my face everyday and thus, going to work to do my makeup isn't the slightest convenient at all! Why not use em' since I got em'!

In order of my makeup application :

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush
Really soft and flexible brush which can get into all the contours of the face. Love the I actually prefer this over my Sigma foundation brushes!

Sigma E65 Small Angle
This brush is so precise and since the bristles are just of the right length, I love the control this brush gives me. This brush + Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade = match made in heaven.

Eye base
Zoeva Concealer Buffer #142
Despite it being a concealer brush, I prefer using this to blend out my eyeshadow bases or eyelid primers. On a daily basis currently, my ritual is this brush and my MAC Soft Ochre Paintpot!

Transition / Cease shade
Sigma E40 Tapered Blending
I love this brush! It works great for a blending brush but since I have 3 of these, I love using one specially for throwing colour into the crease. So effortless and easy!

Lid colour
Sigma E55 Eye Shading
This brush packs shadow on like no other! I prefer stiff and densely packed bristles for applying my shadow as it helps tremendously in bringing out the true colour and intensity of the shadows. This brush does that, and it fits perfectly on my lid.

Outer V
Sigma E30 Pencil
This brush is tapered and its bristles are stiff, making it excellent for exact placement of colour where you want it. Bristles are densely packed too, so fall out is kept to a minimum and colour of the shadow on the lid is closer to that in the pan.

Detailed Work on the Eyes
Sigma E36 Blending
Nothing beats this brush. Nothing compares. This works great for precise blending over specific areas. My favourite use for this is for diffused placement of colour right above the crease shade. This adds further dimension to the eye look! A highly recommended brush.

MAC 217
This highly raved blending brush does not disappoint. It works great for blending out your outer V shades and softening any harsh lines. I like that the ferrule is slightly pinched in too so that the bristles are tapered!

Brow Bone Highlight
Sigma E70 Medium Angled Shading
This brush fits great under my brows and applies my brow bone highlight shade perfectly. The angled cut of the bristles make it super easy to highlight in one swipe and then I flip the brush over and blend.

Undereye Concealer
Sigma F86 Tapered Kabuki
Holy grail concealer brush. I can't go a day without this and I truly mean it. I even have 2 as backups! This brush blends my undereye concealer like no other (REALLY). It does it in a snap as well. Not only that, it seems to absorb any excess product so no cakeyness and you won't have too much concealer under the eyes. Super quick and easy - snap them fingers - and your panda circles are no more.

Sigma F25 Tapered Face
This brush is like a bunny's butt. It is soooo soft. Who doesn't love using something like this everyday? It's like a facial therapy! Tapered end makes it easy to get every spot on the face as well.

Setting undereyes
13rushes Round Cheek Brush
This fits under my eyes perfectly and thus, works great for setting my undereye concealer (even though it is meant for contouring). Super soft bristles so no tugging on my delicate and already wrinkled undereyes so thumbs up!

Zoeva Luxe Sheer Cheek #127
This is my favourite angled blush brush (even over my Sigma F40). These natural bristles pick up just the right amount of product and blends it seamlessly onto my cheeks. The angled cut makes it super easy for applying blusher along the cheekbones!

Zoeva Luxe Highlight #107
Such a cute tapered brush, really. Size works great for highlighting the top of my cheekbones! Natural bristles pick up a good amount of product as well and gives a diffused finish.

Real Techniques Contour Brush
I rarely contour, but if I do, I will pick this baby up. This brush is soft, flexible and fits under the cheekbones perfectly. Contouring is made easy - just swipe to place the colour and go in circular motions to blend!

Hope you enjoyed this post and thank you so much for reading!
Have a great makeup day ahead loves! XO.
