October Favourites

By Sarah - Friday, October 31, 2014

Hi everyone! Hope this post finds you well! Behold, the end of October has arrived (in a flash).

October has been an utter busy month for me as the school term is ending soon! Work loads starts piling up before I know it and I'm just there thinking oh boy, here we go. But on the bright side, my shows have started again! 2 Broke Girls, The Walking Dead, Modern Family, Grimm, Bones, Criminal Minds etc etc. Oh man, I've developed into a couch potato!

And I am turning 22 years old on the 2nd of November! I can feel the age, guys. Feelin' the age. Anyway, here's what I have been loving this October!

Urban Decay Primer Potion
Eyeshadows are probably my favourite part about makeup and I want it to last! I have real oily skin so if I do not prime my lids, tendency would be my eye makeup fading and rubbing off during the day. I really noticed how this primer makes my eye makeup last way longer! All you need is a teeny tiny amount and it will do wonders. It does enhance the vibrancy of the shadows as well, which is a plus as eyemakeup is all about showing off the colours! One tube costs SGD$33 in local Sephoras and trust me, this tube will last you ages. I have two (original and the anti-aging) so I'm pretty much set for life!

Benefit Porefessional
Recently, I've gotten a few breakouts here and there and my skin hasn't been kind to me. Had to bust out this primer as it really helps to smoothen the skin which enables my foundation to go on sooooo much smoother. I focus this mostly around my nose area as there are some pores I would like to hide, and I only see a pea size for every application! This primer truly helps to perfect the skin and make it look way more flawless than it really is.

Makeup Revolution Iconic 3
Somehow, October is the month where I'm feeling the warmer rose golds, mauves and purples. This palette does exactly that. The eyeshadows in here are nicely pigmented, blend easily and fall out is minimal. For the price point of 4 pounds, this palette is amazing for the quality you're getting! Plus point, this palette is a supposed dupe for naked 3! (I did a review on this here)

Zoeva Luxe Soft Crease
I have been loving this brush so much lately! Got this recently with my Zoeva Complete Set (review here) and I have been using this brush non stop for throwing colour into the crease. The bristles are really soft and fluffy, so a diffused crease shade is easily achieved! I also particularly enjoy using this to specifically place a colour over my transition as it bristles enable some deposition of colour, but not too much, and blends it really nicely into the skin.

MAC Warm Soul
I forgot how much I love this blush till recently when I was clearing up my stash. This blush looks so lovely on the cheeks. It is a beautiful warm peachy golden shade that adds life and radiance to the face. I used this almost 5 days in a row (and this doesn't happen a lot considering the amount of blushes I have!) and man, that is something. You can see my blush is close to hitting pan! Needa stock up some more soon.

Revlon Colourstay Foundation
This foundation works so nicely with my oily skin! I love the finish of this - not fully matte yet not dewy either. Coverage is medium to buildable full which is excellent for my troubled skin. Last real long, just like it claims it will. I wore it straight for a 13 hour day once and my skin still looked fantastic at the end of the night. My shade is Warm Golden which is perfect for my skin colour and tone! No mixing with other foundations needed - a plus for getting ready in the mornings!

Hope October has been wonderful for you! Let's see what November brings!
Thanks so much for dropping by Xx.
