Review and Swatches | Lizly What a Lovely Palette

I am a fan of warm shades and plum tones. In fact, my eye shadow looks all look very similar as I rarely play with cool tones. Despite my resolution to use more greys and silvers, I can’t keep my eyes off this latest collaboration between Memebox and Witch’s Pouch – Lizly What a Lovely Palette.
This is really compact palette – simple packaging with no fuss. It comes with a transparent cover, which enables you to see the shades immediately. There is no extra space for a brush, which I really like as I always thought that was a waste of space anyway. This keeps it compact and easy to bring around.
Despite the small size of the palette, do not underestimate the product that you get in each pan. I cant seem to find any weight information on the amount of product that we get, but from the one that I have, I can see that the pans are quite deep and there is a decent amount of product packed in this compact!
There are a total of 6 shades – 1 matte and 5 shimmers. The matte shade is a nice warm toned brown that works nicely in the crease. The other shades are shimmers – a champagne, a rose, a plum, a golden bronze and a deep rich chocolate.
I am going to be honest here and say that I did not have very high expectations for this palette. I’ve tried other eyeshadows from other korean brands and the pigmentation wasn’t the best. As many asians tend to spot a more natural look, I tend to prefer international brands when it comes to eyeshadows as I do like shadows that pack a punch.
That being said, I eat my words. These shadows’ formulation and pigmentation really impressed me. These shades are really creamy and soft, thus resulting in some kick back when you dip your brush in but that is no issue. Just tap off the excess. In fact, the formulation of these reminds me of Too Faced and dare I say it, Lorac. Pigmentation is really wonderful as well, as you can see from my swatches. The shimmers do show up nicely on the skin with just one finger swatch.
Zoom in, you say? Sure.
The only thing lacking in my opinion is a matte white/cream shade for the brow bone so I usually bust out my Wet N Wild Single Eyeshadow in Creme Brûlée. Other than this, I’d say this palette is pretty darn good.
And I did not mention the best part yet. This retails for SGD 11.40 on Althea Korea. That is less than 2 bucks per shadow!

Overall, I highly recommend you picking this up as these are essential neutral shades that always come in handy. Especially if you’re just starting out, these shades are great to begin with as warm neutrals never get old!

You can get this via Althea Korea’s website here.

Will you be getting this palette? Let me know!
