Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette Milani 2-in-1 foundation Elf hydrating primer

With a pretty large makeup collection, some products inevitably get neglected and I made a resolution to myself last year to try and rotate my makeup every week. Some products are new that I would like to test out more, and some are tried and tested products that I have totally forgotten about and was stashed deep in my drawers.

Without further ado, let's dive into this week's selection!

Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette

I am really glad that they brought this back! I was quite lucky as I managed to get this the first time it launched but I did not like featuring it here on the blog as it was limited edition back then. This palette is truly a lovely combination of warm and peachy tones with some purples and an odd green (which I really love as well!). Too Faced, in my opinion, does one of the better eyeshadow formulations out there in the market (except for their recent Christmas Collection which I found were a tad dry). These eyeshadows are pigmented and the shade variation provides enough versatility for simple day time looks to smokey and sexy night time smokey eyes. Like their Chocolate Bar Palette, this is sleek and compact and I am planning to bring this to travel with me to Seoul in March! It does have a "peachy" scent to it, which I am not a fan of, as it smells a little sweet and artificial for my liking. This retails for SGD 76 at Sephora Singapore.

Wet N Wild Single Eyeshadow In Nutty

This eyeshadow shade is truly gorgeous. This is a taupe-y brown shade with a hint of purple. It reminded my so much of MAC's Satin Taupe eyeshadow when I first purchased it. This eyeshadow is creamy and soft in texture and blends nicely when applied to the lids. I love using this for a quick eyeshadow look with one or two matte browns in the crease and this shade all over the lids. It adds depths and dimension to the eyes without going over the top. This shade is extremely affordable, and I believe it only costs USD 0.99 and SGD 3.90.

The Original RCMA No Colour Powder

I finally got onto the bandwagon when it comes to this setting powder. Once I tried it, I do see the hype. This powder is extremely fine and it helps to set my makeup without looking over powdery or cakey on the skin. It also does not alter the shades of my foundation or concealer as well, so that is a plus. I like to use this under the eyes to help set my undereye concealer. As I have extremely dry undereyes, I do not really enjoy baking as I do find that it dries out the area even more. Thus, I only apply a thin veil of powder over it to help prevent the concealer from sliding around and creasing. The only downside is probably the packaging. This is so messy and it irritates me to no end. I am currently on the hunt to find an empty container or powder case to transfer this into. But other than that, I am really enjoying this powder. I got this for USD 12 from Beautylish

ELF Hydrating Primer

Having dehydrated skin and working in an air-conditioned environment for hours in a day do not play well together. Some days, my cheek area can feel tight whenever I talk or smile, and it can get pretty uncomfortable. Thus, when I was browsing iHerb one day, I thought why not add this ELF Hydrating Primer to the cart. I am a fan of their Mineral Infused Primer, so I had pretty high hopes for this one too. This primer comes with a pump, making it handy-dandy, and it is a slight blueish gel. It goes onto the skin nicely and my foundation does not skip or turn patchy atop it. It does not really help in prolonging the wear of the foundation, but I did notice that my cheek area rarely feels dry and uncomfortable whenever I used this. I know, you're thinking a hydrating primer should never touch the skin of an oily girl, but just remember, dehydrated skin lacks water whereas dry skin lacks oil. I definitely can use any water-loving ingredients in my makeup and skincare. I got this for SGD 8.60 from iHerb

Milani Conceal and Perfect Foundation

This foundation had mixed reviews online so I was a little afraid to purchase it. However, when Tati named it her favourite drugstore foundation, I was sold. This has amazing coverage! It works great on days where you lack a little confidence in how your skin is looking. This foundation does lean towards the thicker side, so I like to add a drop of a facial oil (any that I have nearby works well for me) and mix it up to form my own foundation cocktail. This helps it to blend much easier and have a lower risk of looking cakey. It lasts a good amount of time on my skin and I like that when mixed with an oil, I get a slightly dewy finish that does not turn overly greasy throughout the day as I find this foundation to have pretty decent oil control. I purchased mine from BeautyBay at SGD 20.60.

A makeup rotation is a great way to find and give some love to the neglected products! This method has been working out for me as with constant new releases, new makeup products are usually the ones I would turn my attention to. Hope this post inspired you to shop your own stash!

Did any of these products catch your eye? Let me know!

Till then,
