Look Fantastic November Ready Set Glam Beauty Box review

Mid November already? How did we get here!

Look Fantastic have been coming up with monthly beauty boxes which I think is it nifty idea to try out new items. I tend to be one who rarely venture out of my comfort zone when it comes to skincare and makeup, so having beauty boxes do help tremendously in expanding my horizons when it comes to new brands and products. Today, I am going to share with you the items in the November Beauty box!

Look Fantastic November Ready Set Glam Beauty Box review

The beauty boxes are a surprise so you will not know what you’re getting till you actually do (how you feel about that - it’s up to you). I do like how there is a combination of 6 makeup, skincare and self care items in the Ready, Set, Glam November Beauty Box. I received the :

Murad Essential-C Day Moisture SPF 30
Filorga Time-Filler Eye Cream
This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray (a favourite!)
Pixi Beauty Glow Booster in White Pearl
Teeez Cosmetics Spectrum Of Stars Eyeshadow in Indigo Dare
Bella Pierre Kiss Proof Lip Creme in 40s Red

I have not tried any items from Murad before so I’m glad to have a sample to try out. The Murad Essential-C Day Moisture is a daily cream that helps to protect the skin from UV damage (it's SPF 30 PA +++) and pollution. Singapore is always so sunny so a daily sunscreen moisturiser is definitely handy! This cream is also said to help improve the radiance of the skin as it contains vitamin C and it's full of antioxidants.

Next we have the Filorga Time-Filler Eye Cream. This cream claims to give some serious lift to the eye and lashes. I have quite a bit of fine lines under the eyes due to manhandling them during makeup removal when I was young and foolish. No cream will ever eradicate them or go back time, but good ones can minimise the appearance by plumping the skin. Let’s hope this works nicely! I am also excited to put a little bad on the lash line and my lashes do need some TLC currently.

Pillow sprays may seem like the ultimate luxury but they really do make a difference if you’re constantly struggling at night to fall asleep. I didn’t start investing in them till about a year ago and the first I bought was the This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray. This has a blend of lavender, camomile and vetiver and is said to be clinically proven to increase sleep quality! Spritzing it all over my pillow before bed is my way of telling my brain that it’s time to calm down and stop overthinking (which is of course, easier said than done! But it works nicely for me.) Scents are personal though and if you’re not a fan of lavender, this may not be for you.

Teeez Cosmetics Eyeshadow in indigo dare swatch and review

Having a penchant for eyeshadow, this Teeez Cosmetics Spectrum of Stars Eyeshadow was the first time to actually catch my eye. Such classy (albeit bulky) packaging! I got mine in the shade Indigo Dare. This is a deep emerald with teal shimmer. So stunning and I can’t wait to put this all over my lids! Pigmentation was lovely and when I dipped my finger in to swatch, this felt creamy to the touch.

Moving on, I am extremely excited to try this Pixi Beauty Glow Booster Liquid Illuminater out! I’ve heard so much about this brand too, and I’ve been into liquid highlights recently to add a subtle glow to the skin. This is in the shade White Pearl which is a new addition to the line. It is a cool toned champagne with hints of pink. I tend to prefer warm tones and golden highlights, but I’ll try this out for sure! It did blend in nicely to the skin when swatched, giving the skin a natural and subtle glow

Lastly, Bella Pierre is a brand that I’m quite familiar with as I tried out quite a few items from them before (review here) so I was pleased to see the Bella Pierre Kiss Proof Lip Creme in the box. I got mine in the shade 40s Red which is truly a stunning red and screams the holidays in my opinion. I swatched it on my arm and it went on so smooth. In fact, it took some arm muscle and tons of makeup remover to remove it. This seems like a contender to last through all the Christmas feasting. Bring on the turkey and potatoes!

Look Fantastic Beauty Boxes do go for SGD 27.50 per box which I think is of great value! They also have 3 month subscription for SGD 80 and a yearly one (12 months) for SGD 285.50.

Also, Black Friday alert! As you know, Black Friday is this coming Friday and my wallet is definitely ready for the blow. Look Fantastic is going to have some massive sales and I can't wait. I usually like to get items from Bourjois, Real Techniques and EX1 Cosmetics from the site. They also have a larger range (and usually it's slightly cheaper than our local drugstores) of Maybelline.

For you guys, you can use the code LFSARAH for 23% off site wide for cyber weekend as well!

P.S. If you're from Singapore, you can opt to shop at Look Fantastic Singapore or Look Fantastic (opt for shipping to Singapore on the top right hand corner and you're good to go! The international site has more brands to choose from, such as MAC, Bobbi Brown and Benefit Cosmetics).

Overall, I am loving the selection of items available in the November Ready, Set, Glam Beauty Box and am considering trying out more beauty boxes from Look Fantastic. Also, keep your eyes peeled to see if any of these items will be in my upcoming monthly favourites posts!

What do you think of beauty boxes? Any recommendations?

Hope this unboxing post was useful in some way. Till then,
