It’s about time for another life improvement article roundup, where I share with you some of my favourite articles, blog posts, podcasts and videos with you. If you missed my previous round up, you can find it here. I do read quite a few various posts on a weekly basis and I really do love how inspiring and motivating a good read/listen can be! So I hope that this list that I’ve compiled for you here would do the same for you.
Article (10 mins):
I love this article. The idea of greatness and the goal of becoming great can seem a little far-fetched sometimes, especially when we’re not feeling extremely motivated or productive. In this article, Steph talks about consistency and the little small wins that can slowly push us towards our own definition of greatness. The compound effect is always at work (read my book notes on The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy here), so we need to think about what sustainable inputs we can do to improve our lives.
Video (10 mins):
I’ve stumbled upon Jim Kwik recently on Youtube as he produces so many amazing videos about the brain. This video acts as a wonderful reminder about what are certain things we can change now to improve our lives. In this video, he says “If you fight for your limitations, you get to keep them” and that resonated with me. Our thoughts really play such a huge role in how we turn out in the end and it’s time we pay closer attention to them. He also talks about neurogenesis and neuroplasticity and how to support these processes.
Blog post (5 mins):
You know I’m all about self-improvement and there is absolutely no shame in that. I love figuring out ways to live my life to the fullest and to my fullest potential. In this blog post, she shares some self-improvement tips and tactical tips which I find very useful. I particularly love tips #14 and #16.
Podcast (24 mins):
After reading The 5AM Club by Robin Sharma (book notes about that here!), I also started listening to his videos and podcasts too. I do listen to him on Spotify, but I am not sure how to link to it here, so I found a link on radio public for ya. These life lessons really allowed me to reflect on my life so far and my current life situation. I’m way past 20 years old now, but in my opinion, these thoughts and insights still do apply at any age.
Once again, I don’t really have a book recommendation as I’ve been mostly reading books about yoga recently. But once I do have one, I’ll be sure to share it with you guys. I hope you enjoyed my little round up! If you have any article(s), podcast and other suggestions for me, please share them with me!
